Plan to scale

Bedroom floor plan: the bed, the dresser and room to get by

A queen bed or a king? The dresser at the foot of the bed or along the wall? The answer comes down to a few inches, and a plan drawn to scale shows them.

Give the bedroom’s measurements, pick the bed size and place the rest. The space left on each side is written on the plan.

How do I draw a floor plan of my bedroom? Measure the bedroom, pick the bed, then place the rest.

How to do it

  1. Measure the bedroom

Width, depth, then where the door, the window and the closet are.

  2. Pick the bed

Twin, full, queen or king: each comes at its common size, which you can correct.

  3. Place the rest

Nightstands, dresser, desk. Look at what is left to walk around.

What you can place in it

Each item comes at a common size. You type in yours.
