Privacy policy

In short: your plans are private by default, we sell no data, the site shows no advertising, and you can draw without an account, without sending us anything.
1. Who is responsible
Planimonde (planimonde.com) is operated by 9567-9809 Québec inc., 300-204, rue du Saint-Sacrement, Montréal (Québec) H2Y 1W8.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information: Mathieu Poirier, bonjour@planimonde.com. This is the person to contact with any question, request or complaint about your information.
2. What we collect
If you draw without an account
Nothing that identifies you. Your plans are kept in your browser's local storage, on your device. They are not sent to us.
If you create an account
- Your email, used as your identifier and to write to you about your account.
- Your password, kept in hashed form: we cannot read it.
- Your language and the date of your last sign-in.
- The plans you save online and everything you write in them: measurements, names of rooms, zones or owners, notes.
- Your credit balance and its history: credits received, purchased, spent.
If you buy credits
Payment is handled by Stripe. Planimonde never sees and never stores your card number. We receive from Stripe the payment confirmation, its amount, its date and its identifier, as well as the billing information needed for the invoice and for calculating taxes.
What the server records by itself
- Technical logs: IP address, date, page requested, browser type.
- Security log: sign-ins, failed sign-in attempts, password changes.
- Open sessions: the device and IP address you signed in from.
What you send us
The emails you write to us, and free-access requests from schools and organizations (name of the institution, email, intended use).
Artificial intelligence features
They are optional and ask for your agreement before first use. If you use them, what you submit (the plan, a sentence, a photo or a link) is transmitted to our model provider, Anthropic, in the United States, for the time needed to produce the answer.
3. Cookies
Essential cookies are always on; without them the site does not work:
pm_s: your session, when you are signed in (30 days).pm_v: protects forms against forged submissions (30 days).pm_langue: the language you chose (1 year).pm_consent: your cookie choice (6 months).pm_flash: a message to show on the next page (erased as soon as it is read).
The browser's local storage keeps your plans, your preferences and the chosen design. None of it is used to track you.
Statistics cookies (Google Analytics) are refused by default. They are set only if you accept, and you can change your mind at any time. The Planimonde team is never measured.
4. Why we collect it
- To provide the service: open your account, keep your plans, give them back to you on another device.
- To process your purchases, produce invoices and meet our tax obligations.
- To protect accounts and the site against abuse.
- To answer your messages.
- If you consent, to know which pages are read, in order to improve the site.
We do no profiling, we show no advertising, and we do not sell, rent or trade any information.
5. Who has access
Only the team members who need it to run the service. Access to the dashboard requires a password and a code sent by email, and every team action there is logged.
Our providers receive only what they need:
- OVHcloud: hosting of the site and the database, in Québec.
- Stripe: payments. Stripe processes information outside Québec, notably in the United States.
- Google (Analytics): only if you accept statistics cookies. Google processes this data outside Québec.
- Artificial intelligence model provider: only if you use those features.
We disclose information to an authority only when the law requires us to.
6. Where it is kept
Your information and your online plans are kept on a server located in Canada, at the OVHcloud data centre in Beauharnois, Québec. The site's emails are sent from that same server.
7. For how long
- Account and online plans: as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your plans, credits, sessions and history are erased at once.
- Purchases and invoices: six years after the year of purchase, as tax laws require. After your account is deleted, they are no longer linked to it.
- Sessions: 30 days. Password reset links and sign-in attempts: erased every night after one day.
- Technical and security logs: twelve months at most.
- Free-access requests: twenty-four months.
8. Your rights
- Access and correction: your email and your plans can be seen and changed in My account and in the editor. For everything else, write to the person in charge.
- Portability: each plan can be exported from the editor (PDF, image, SVG). On request, we give you your information and your plans in a structured, commonly used technological format.
- Withdrawal of consent: statistics are turned off through the "Cookies" link at the bottom of every page.
- Deletion: "Delete my account", in My account, erases your account and your online plans for good.
To exercise a right, write to bonjour@planimonde.com. We answer in writing within thirty days.
9. Complaint
If our answer does not satisfy you, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
10. Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, our providers' keys are encrypted in the database, and sign-in attempts are limited. If a confidentiality incident posed a serious risk to you, we would notify you, as well as the Commission d'accès à l'information.
11. Young people under 14
Accounts are intended for people aged 14 and over. In class, students can draw without an account, under their teacher's supervision: nothing is collected then.
12. Changes
The date at the top of the page changes with every update. If a change significantly affects what we do with your information, we notify account holders by email.
