12 V electrical for a van plan, to scale
Battery, solar, fuses and appliances in a converted vehicle.
The plan opens on "Cargo area", a 3.30 m (10' 10") by 1.78 m (5' 10") rectangle (5.87 m² (63 sq ft)) that you correct to your own measurements. Its line (wall) is 4 cm thick. Already in place: solar panel, solar charge controller, 12 v battery, battery switch, fuse block, 2 × led light…
No account needed, right away.
How to use it
- Adjust the cargo area to your vehicle's dimensions.
- Place the battery, the fuse block and each appliance where they will go.
- Pick the Link tool (L key): click one symbol, then another. A click on empty space adds a bend.
- Give each wire its gauge in the link panel: its length is already there.
- With nothing selected, the plan panel gives the total length of each link type.
What Planimonde calculates for this plan

- The area of each closed outline and of each zone you mark out.
- Wall thickness: your measurements apply to the inside, the outside or the centre line, as you choose.
- The closing gap when on-site measurements contradict each other, and where it lies.
- The clearance to leave in front of each item, to suggest other layouts without overlap.
- The scale of the PDF, with a reference bar to check with a ruler once the page is printed.
