Plan for a municipal permit application, drawn online

The lot, the buildings, the proposed structure and its distances from the boundaries.

The plan opens on "Lot", a 18.00 m (59' 1") by 30.00 m (98' 5") rectangle (540.00 m² (5,813 sq ft)) that you correct to your own measurements. Already in place: building, proposed addition, survey note, shed.

How to use it

  1. Draw the lot from your certificate of location: "From measurements" button.
  2. Place the existing buildings, then the proposed structure (addition, shed, pool, fence).
  3. Place a dimension (K key) from the structure to each boundary: these are the setbacks the city checks.
  4. Record the dimensions, the height and the materials in notes.
  5. Export to scale: the notice says this plan accompanies the application without replacing it.

What this plan is, and what it is not

Plan accompanying a permit application. Check with your municipality which documents are required; some must be signed by a professional. This plan is drawn from its author's measurements: it is neither a certificate of location nor a land surveyor's site plan.
