Wall framing plan, to scale
Studs, plates, headers and openings of a wall seen from the front.
The plan opens on "Framed wall", a 3.66 m (12' 0") by 2.44 m (8' 0") rectangle (8.93 m² (96 sq ft)) that you correct to your own measurements. Already in place: 2 × bottom or top plate, 2 × row of studs at 16 in., 2 × double stud, rough opening, header.
No account needed, right away.
How to use it
- The outline is the wall seen from the front: give it its real width and height before placing anything.
- Place the bottom plate and the top plate, then a row of studs at 16 inches.
- Frame each opening: double studs on each side and a header above.
- Count the pieces in the plan sheet to prepare the lumber list.
What Planimonde calculates for this plan
- The length of each side, written along the line and corrected with one click.
- The area of each closed outline and of each zone you mark out.
- Wall thickness: your measurements apply to the inside, the outside or the centre line, as you choose.
- The closing gap when on-site measurements contradict each other, and where it lies.
- The clearance to leave in front of each item, to suggest other layouts without overlap.
- The scale of the PDF, with a reference bar to check with a ruler once the page is printed.
